True self-realization can not be achieved through begging or dependence on others. The weak are incapable of unveiling the true essence of the self. Sri Sri Babamoni emphasized the importance of self- reliance, utilizing one's own strength. The Ayachak Ashrama, established in the 1970s, is built on the principles of self-reliance and the vow of 'Abhiksha (non-begging)';.

The Ashrama works towards global welfare, relying solely on divine grace, not on alms. The ideal of Abhiksha is encapsulated in its objective phrases which read as:

“ नायमात्मा बलहीनेन लभ्यः। ”
[The Self can not be attained by the weak]

“ भिक्षायां नैव नैव च। ”
[Begging is not the way]
